Dr Lena Wilson is Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise – Scotland’s national economic development agency.
In an international private and public sector career spanning over 25 years, she has held a range of positions covering all aspects of economic development in most parts of the world, including a senior advisory role with the World Bank in Washington DC. She has worked in over 60 countries in Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia promoting Scottish business interests or advising governments on foreign direct investment and private sector development.
Lena has held a range of non-executive positions in business, arts, sports and voluntary organisations. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of Intertek Group plc, Ambassador for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a member of the Financial Services Advisory Board (FISAB) and Chair of Scotland’s Energy Jobs Taskforce.
She is a passionate commentator and speaker on international business, leadership and talent development.
She was awarded a CBE in the 2015 Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
